OUR STORY
Hey y'all, we thank all of you for stopping by. We are the Schaeffer family - the ones behind the operations here at the farm. Coming from agriculture backgrounds, we both decided to stick with it, and see where it was going to take us. 5 years, and 3 kids later, we would've never imagined we'd be where we are today. Follow along on our journey with us!

OUR STORY CONTINUED...
The Schaeffers
In the beginning, (2019) we started out with a few Holstein, and Swiss calves to raise up. We started with 2, and 2 quickly became 15 from demand. Speeding up to one of our favorite yet dreaded years, 2020, we welcomed our baby girl. She was such a blessing, and as many of you know who have kiddos - its a big change! Nobody ever prepares you for those challenges that occur, but some way some how, you get through it. In March of 2021, we bought our first of many Hereford heifers. On top of crop farming why not add more cows into the mix right? There is just something about cows that bring happiness. Our herd keeps growing throughout the years, and we cant thank God enough for all that he has given us.
Moving forward, we got our hands dirty with the family garden in the summer of 2021. We started out with a few strawberry plants, and a few flowers in garden boxes. A small bouquet out of your own garden is just so rewarding don't you think? While Isaac was enjoying his dream of crop farming I - Kayla, found my dream. Just when I thought driving tractor trailer for the rest of my life was what I wanted... God always has his plans and I'm glad he chose this path for me. It quickly became a love of mine and not long after my mother-in-law introduced me to dahlias. Absolutely gorgeous flowers, but a ton of work I thought. There was no way I was going through all of that, but year 2022 came around and guess what was in my garden? Dahlias, you guessed it! I just couldn't resist their beauty. Along with those I planted some annuals such as sunflowers, zinnias, and snapdragons. I figured, I have bunch extra, and I wanted to share them. I began to give a few friends some bouquets throughout the year. I kept getting the same comments "you should sell these"... "they are absolutely beautiful" ... "you can't get this in the store" and the list goes on. It was just a hobby y'all a hobby. 2023 came around and we welcomed our baby boy and all I thought was there will be no time now.
Isaac and I got to work to being determined to make the flower garden larger, and buy more cows. We work so good together, and we wouldn't want it any other way. I ventured into different annuals for that year, and sold more bouquets then I imagined. Through this crazy journey of ours, we just hope and pray that the kids learn hard work, dedication, and to fight for what you want out of life. Its too dang short to dwell over the little things, take hold of it and hold on!
Year 2024 we plan to go even bigger since we grew out of our plot in just 1 year! More annuals, flower subscriptions to start in spring, and beef sales...We can thank each an everyone of you who belived in us.

An so our journey moves forward... One step at a time.

Love, The Schaeffers
